The Robin

I heard a robin cry in the distant cold,

Its wings were broken, it lay on the road.

The snow kept falling ignored its cry,

It tossed and turned for it could not fly.

In natures embrace laid the robin still,

Its cries in vain, with no mercy to appeal.
