ROCK BOTTOM... (Part 1)

Deep in the depths, below murky green
A pebble awaits, among others unseen
Unlike jagged stones, overshadowed by
rock bottom dwellers
one pebble
had long been forgot.
I once held this gem in the palms of my hands
Alas misfortunes torture
dealt dastardly plans.
Slowly I sank in the quickest of sands
Dropping my jewel
Lost, as it lands.
Barely bobbing above waters edge
was a face of disgrace
and a heartbroken head.
I reached about blindly, desperate to find
that one special pebble
Only one of its kind.
The price I would pay was the highest of cost
Left here all alone
My life was now lost.
Framed by false fate, I fell to the floor
Frightened by fear
I had failed once more.
Floating for days, in a hopeless haze
When would I work out the way through this maze?
A clouded sky began to dim
The murky mire, in which I lived in.
Dusk soon transformed bronze to black
Every rock concealed more cracks.
Twinkling stars and moonbeams light
Shone upon another night
Disappointment dawned at morn
As summers sun set days forlorn.
So will there be a happy ending?
For now this poem will pause as pending...
