ROOTS

ROOTS

As your image slowly starts to fade
I pause for thought without regret
You came into my world showing such power
And brought back feelings from a soul long dead

Another image is now being built before me
The previous one seems to have fallen
I’ll take another chance on time
It’s the universe I hear now calling

As your vision fades within the daylight
I pause lost in the reverie
I smile despite the growing distance
We walk different paths, where will they lead?

The universe protects the masters
Who will create their own domain?
Long live true value, fate, free will
Long remembered is a stranger’s name

One day you’ll find out where you grow from
Plant new seeds and when you plant each row
If you should stray from life’s precious garden
Those roots will always lead you home…
