Poem -

Round And Round

Some things come naturally,
Birds gliding in the wind
Leaves dancing in the rain
With love comes a little pain
With pain comes a little love
With more days gone
More thoughts wear out
And it grows so old,
So very fucking old.

So I leave then return
I worship then I burn,
The sun runs in circles
And I follow it's curve
Listen to it's every moan
Study it's rise and it's downfall
But still I could never get where I want
I could never mimic
It's eternal rainbow.
I dream of easy boasting
But experience hardships
I curse it's rhythm
But know of it's significance,
I curse it's laugh with a frown
I envy what I could easily attain
What fool reaches for the moon
With no ladder or rope
What fool begs for love
With no heart or warmth.

If I should break in two
With the evil's that run me through
I would only be another man
Never alone
Never together,
Nothing would surpass
The miserable days
For they're the most constant
Nothing would conquer boredom
For it's the most constant.
And I forget
And I regret
And I despise
And I mimic
Like everyone else,
I'm more alike than apart,
And all that I ponder on
Has run right past me
Millions of times,
Right past my eyes
And into infinity,
Right where it belongs.
And I will be fine
Going through sheltered desolation
In the spirals of time.
