Run From The Dark

Run From The Dark

So I was walking along
An endless road
Carelessly treading
As I noticed a toad
So I greeted him well
And we started to talk
Then he said run my boy
Run from the dark
So I turned around quick
And I turned around sharp
Surveying the area
With the eyes of a hawk
And I started to run
But my feet sunk like sand
And I watched as darkness
Covered the land
So I screamed and I screamed
Until that scream became violent
Then I screamed and I screamed
Until that scream became silence
And all to be seen
In the dark of the night
Was an ominous hand reaching out to the light

In case was a bit unclear I see this as the light becoming a sanctuary it's ominous but light often tends to represent good so ideally in this situation you'd want the arms of light embracing you but ONLY AS THE DARK CHASES YOU
