Rusty Hulk

Rusty Hulk

There looming high above the sand

a once elegant structure beached

no longer able to sail the seas

 her hull weakened and breached

what were once such elegant lines

crumbling rust has eaten away

leaving a skeleton frame work

and memories of her heyday

her bough buried deep in the sand

still standing proud for all to see

barnacles decorate her lines

where once fine colours gleamed brightly!

with each tide this vessel erodes

until nothing but a shell is revealed

a sandy grave for such a beauty

for her sad plight has now been sealed
