Safe In His Hands

There was a girl
So scared and weak
Too timid and scared
She could barely speak
She had no wisdom
She didn't understand
That God held her
In the palm of His hand.

She searched and searched
But could not find a place
In the world so dark
She just could not face
So she hid herself away
She did not have a say
And knew not who she was
Til she woke up one day.

A voice she heard within her heart
awoke her soul and made her smart
She would listen to the Spirit
And she rested not
Determined to find
What she had forgot,
Who she really was
And the love she mislaid
Held up by a truth
That her debt was repaid.

Within her she found
A love that was strong
With fire and zeal
She could do no wrong.
He saw through her flaws
And all of her doubt
And urged her to rise up
And let the fear out
To make way for love
She gave in return
For love is true wisdom
She just had to learn.
