Salem Eyes

Salem Eyes

I've seen the infiltration happen in youth
Lies I've believed were blessed truth
She ensnared with fury
Convinced me not to worry
Not to care,
pretend not to be aware

that her Salem ways
wouldn't burn
Only warm my heart with her angel eyes

But I walked away to self-preserve and look
Look back and damn the path I took
Poison and cyanide became my breath
As I spoke and whispered of her Salem eyes
Never will I go back,
and let her lead me to her flame
