Salute to a Lady I once knew, Shiela Roscoe

your hands were never idle

always working, serving, comforting and carrying

your eyes shone with the intense sincerity that radiated from your heart

Sometime in September you were called to play a phenomenal part

wife to a prominent figure

a man of status and astute position

your leather bible being your greatest possession

fondly known as "Mama Shiela"

you were a mother to all who knew you

you served the Almighty in everything you had to do

your beauty was more than the your flawless skin

and golden smile

gracefully you braved every mile

So when the good Lord called you home to Him

we thought of life as more than mean

so suddenly ripped from life

we mourn your escape from mortality

but rejoice in the joy of your immortality

we will see you again dear lady of God

but till then...

watch over us from above

Eden
