Scarred Heart
Here, in this moment
As I watch you from afar
I feel the scar you chiselled in my heart
Occasionally it weeps
Stings
Forcing tears to spill
I lack the will - to fight
Losing sight
An emptiness I cannot fill
In those moments
I search for a new dawn
To stop me feeling so forlorn
I morn-
Dredge my weary soul
Forcing a smile
In attempt to convince myself-
All is well
When truly -
Every day since you left
Has been a living hell

Thank you Max for your caring and thoughtful words. I hit a bit of writers block recently. I just felt numb. Finally managed to release something in me. Although troubled it felt good to get out. Thanks for always being so supportive of me

Great expression Gwen, it's great to get it out. This was bursting with emotion, passion, pIain. Powerful. I had the same writers block recently but I realized it was me trying so hard to bury everything so deep inside me. It was exhausting. I miss him so much. Two very significant figures left my life recently, I miss them both differently but just as intensely and it's painful❤☀xxx
Gosh Shelley, losing one significant other is hard enough, but two round the same time! I really feel for you. No wonder you felt blocked. I am glad you are writing again. It hopefully will help you feel some release. Thanks for reading this one. I really needed to get it out. I am glad I did.

Gwen I believe you nailed it with this one never a truer word in love and life and we all so yearn for that certain something we sometimes lose and oh so struggle to re-attain in love's darkest hour.
And sometimes you succeed and sometimes its lost on the wind.
For that's love for you and its endless toing and froing.
Your poem of emotion really reaches out and touches any reader for better or its polar opposite.
