Scars

Scars

We have scars on our skin, drew like a piece of art
We have love safe inside, being pumped by our heart
The scars we gain through troubles and strife
The scars we gain from giving life

Scars on our hearts don’t seem to heal the same
Like the ones on our skin, they cause us less pain
We notice them less as the years fly
The ones in your heart you can still hear cry

Days tick by we realise, take nothing in this world for granted
Love with all your heart,  smile so someone is enchanted

Wear scars on your surface proud, they are medals of sacrifice
The ones inside need more time, don’t be wounded by love, think twice
Hearts can be broken in so many different ways, from loss, lies a betrayal
Our hearts feel it all, happy or sad, if it’s a win or a fail

Give your self time what ever it is that you are healing from
Hearts our delicate, there is no time limit for grief,  you just have to keep
pumping to carry on
