Scars Tell A Story

A scar tells a story, it tells the truth
Of the many tribulations that fell upon you
Its tells of the sorrow, it tells of the crime
It tells of the beatings, time after time.
It does not speak words but has much to say
It warns intruders to stay away
Alerting family a problem arise
So they can act quickly before your demise.
It tells of your secrets, it tells of your fears
It shows your battles over the years
Though many don't know what long sleeves do hide
It does not take long for your soul to cry.
Weeping on end day and night
The smile will soon sink to a frown
As more scars are made from a sinister blade
Then they will have more stories to tell
As you sink to the ground in a depression shell.
