School Lunch Time

The bell rings
The children shout
The teacher waves
Her class out
Time for lunch
An hour’s break
The maths class attention
Clearly fake
But now is time
For food and a laugh
“Baily Protheroe’s
A boy and a half”
Time is now up
To their seats they
All slump
Sitting in English
Like a droopy eyed pup.
