A Sculpture of Life After Death

A Sculpture of Life After Death

My hands feel your pain, they have touched your skin

Now you bend old and gray, your spine now curved

You once wore this smile and now you wear a frown

Or nothing at all, your face is stone, no expression

Just emptiness, though you use to be bright with much life

Your aged body now gets ready for the end but the beginning

A sculpture of death is but a precious piece that lives on

With its carvings in your mind and its delicate masterpiece

A sculpture of life after death
