Season's Demise

Season's Demise

Crestfallen summerlong
Dance finale swansong
Ice imps devious conspire
Dethrone reigning empire

Cold tis arctic clutch
Thwarted by harsh touch
Felled leaves on treetops
Falling like snowdrops

Stoic tis shoreline
Hasty flocks warning sign
Shunned by distant sun
Craven tis harried run

Winter defeats summer’s claim
Only remnants remain.
Downtrodden neath veils of snow
Revival tis assurance to grow.

Love this. As a matter of fact took my pooch out for her morning relief andΒ
yesterday’s rain was frozen on the car. First freeze this season.πŸ₯Ά
