a second chance

The heavy rain keeps falling 
Thunder storms raging tonight 
He looks ahead in the distance 
He can’t see any light 

Today he had a big catch 
but had to go a lot further out at seas 
tomorrow he’s going to get her a ring 
And propose down on one knees 

And he loves her with all his heart 
She is his life ,his whole world 
and she doesn't mind her friends 
calling her a fishers man’s girl 

And the waves were higher today 
and to sail was a little more tough 
And the powerful storm’s keeps coming 
as the water’s becomes more rough 

then the darkness comes over head 
And covers the full moon light 
He thinks of her and what she thinking 
Knowing she will be so worry tonight 

at home she closes the windows 
and stands with a cup of tea 
as the strong winds blows the trees 
She can’t call him he's out at sea 

she begins to panic now 
It’s very late an he’s still not here 
the concern look on her face 
soon started to turn to fear 

the sun comes up early next morning 
She runs down to the docks on the bay 
there was no sign of his boat 
She waits silently the whole day 

She feels so helpless and lonely 
"OMG" she said" please this cant be 
dear god" I will do anything 
Please please" bring him back to me 

And today the waves were calm 
miles and miles from the shore 
smooth like a silk blanket 
no remnants of the storm before 

and under the big blue skies 
Comes the cool tropical wind 
as a battered and damage boat 
comes slowly sailing in 

one week passes she cant stop crying 
her so heart broken she cant talk 
Her family trying to comfort her 
as she hugs an uncle from New York 

Her father tells her 
"You got to leave this place 
To many memories here to stay 
as the tears rolls down her face 

she got on her knees and prayed 
She prayed for a miracle today 
and at that same time is boat 
sails in to the docks on the bay 

and as he walk thru the door 
She couldn't believe her eyes 
She fell in his arms 
as they hug each other and cries 

He said he's done with the sea 
how he will not leave her side 
then he gets down on his knees 
and ask her to be his bride 

A happy very ending 
A touching romance 
Two beautiful children today 
and a second chance
