Poem -

Seek and ye may find

When you think about it,
Life's composed of light and shade and colour.
Somewhere inbetween it all
It's there we find each other.
Yet in the finding we seem to lose
The very thing we found
And spend a lifetime looking forΒ
That familiar face among the crowd.
I don't know if this is a rule of thumb
For each and everyone,
Just think we are all looking for
From whence it all begun.
Friends and lovers, daughters and sons,
Sooner or later are all departed
And at that point we stand alone,
No way back to where we started.
As for me, I've stopped the searching
Cut loose every tie I had,
No longer looking only yearning
For the good that turned to bad.
