Self Harm

Sometimes I can't take it
I lash out and break shit
My torment boils and my pot overflows
Then I'm blow for blow
But not with some one else
I'm fighting with my self
I sit there and cry
After I dot my own eye
It's more abuse than a fight
Sometimes I'm to hard on myself
Angry, sad and confused , can't figure shit out
All my insecurities pour out like a spout
Popped a leak in my soul
Trying to be whole
But as I build up the pieces I gather
I knock them back down
I truly am my own worse enemy
Constantly reinforcing my frown
Is it the destiny of a poet
To be sorrowful and know it
I wish I'd outgrow it

thanks for the comment as you can see I am going through some stuff and I needed kind words , and I absolutely know how true it is, to write pain I can't be numb to it and to write Beauty I can't be blind to it and I don't think poets choose to be poets I think it's more like are emotions drive us to be poets because I wouldn't get angry at anything if I didn't feel everything
Luke this is a very honest poem
And will be very helpful to others
Because of its honesty and self declarations
