SELF REFLECTION

I am approaching the age of fifty one
I reflect and wonder where has the time gone
Am I pleased how my life has turned out to be ?

I have a bestie who lives so far away
It would be nice if I could see him everyday
The love of my life lives also in another town
This disappoints me and sometimes gets me down 

My musician mates are talented that is for sure
Friendship and music is something I really adore 
My job pays for the bills and the house that I keep
I have food on the table and a place to sleep

​​​​Memories on my self reflection I hold so very dear
I'm not doing too bad as I approach another year
