Enchanted sentinel alluring,
Ashen stone steadfast enduring.
Archaic aura shimmers aglow,
Enlighten what you know.
 
Wisdom in depths of vacant eyes,
Ever chary towards heaven's skies
Locked in inertia, epochal throne,
Enclaved by parched tombstone.
 
Mona-Lisa smile on masonry lips,
Cold asperous to fingertips.
Stone wings convivial extend,
Envisage heaven's rapture to descend.
 
Frigid beauty in graveyard chill,
Sentry of Saint Peter's hill.
Stoic talisman seraphim,
Carrion intone echoing hymn.
 
Tombs huddle hallowed ground,
Midnight austere taciturnity profound.
Remnants cry tears of stone,
Vestige memories of flesh and bone.
 
Sentinel, magistrate of the dead,
