Serpentine

Serpentine

Bestow not I a wicked kiss,
Upon thine lips of virtue remiss.
Thou harbor ignoble intention
Thus perpetuating angelic dissension

O serpent with lusting iniquity
Ventured to an ascended ubiquity
Befallen from heavens domain
Whispers tempestuous an unworldly name

Molten eyes of which to beguile
Charmed with a sharpened smile
Offering tokens of undying love
Likened to the heavens above

Hush now mine disquieted heart,
Poisoned with ardor's bittersweet dart
Impaled deep within quickened chest,
Divinity cascades forth mine breast

Father, amend this ardor sting
Descend upon healing wing,
Disinherit mine heart's plight
With thine divine guiding light

Cast down thus serpent for said crime,
For illicit acts wickedly sublime.
Thievery intentions posthaste depart,
Remedy mine errant jester heart.
