SHADE OF THE EVENING

Muted bleak dusks
Moonless and wanting
Stars are even more dim
Beholding the canvas of opacity
My breaths wait to be there
The moment I'll exhale again
I feel my blood freeze
A name marked upon my skin
Places I won't go
Lost in distances
Echoes whisper back to me
Thus, conviction is made
Prose unrhythmic, yet demanding
Colors broken in between
The beauty of destruction
My love was selfish
I tell myself its questions
Caught in emotions
Once put to flames
Sometimes they become tears
There is no door
Beyond what I feel
You remain a butterfly
In my heart
Shadows that came with the wind
An art of disappearing
The cost of unrest
Nightmares ever present
Even when my eyes are seeking
Pastures of memories
You are there in dreamscapes
That give me all of my storms
Who would I be without chaos
What I can't help craving
I want the implosion
A sacred madness
Every thought is consuming
This is how it looks
When I'm standing at the edge
How I break apart
Pieces dance as scattered pages
In stillness
I'm reaching......
