Shadows Dancing

in brightest mid-day sunlight
they danced ..
albeit, barely touching but …
in perfect time
and never faltered ..
no ……..……….. not even once
or for a single moment ..
until time itself
did serve, to interrupt them ..
when darkness came
to steal each of their shadows ..
