Poem -

Shakespearean Asylum

The man beside me, quacks like a duck.

He yanks his neck and plucks.

And we leave him alone because he quacks like a duck,

We leave him alone as he clucks clucks and clucks

We leave him alone,  for it is only his mind.

Trapped in a maze,...

the maze of time.

And the women beside me she sits still, in this room.

She sits still because she killed her parents in their room.

And so heavily medicated heavily medicated her hand jams forward, as if she’s stabbing.

She is now like a mindless fish who opens and shuts its mouth for air, except… her impulse is, to erratically jam her hand forward, heavily medicated. And I, little oh me, I stay strapped to this chair. If loose I will splatter my brain matter over and over on to the chair, so the exit of death can relief me of this thisthis life.
