"Shaking It Out"

"I got cut off at the meeting,
I'm completely enraged,
by a staff member.

She doesn't realized,
I'm an insane animal,
a savage that's been saved,
by Grace,
The Almighty Grace of God!
While all of you live in the blended, bland even,
I live and breathe in the odd.

So I shall step back,
I won't poison myself from what you have tried to do to me,
for your mind is a simple, tadpole-filled pond,
mine is a torrent-swept, rocky, cragged sea.

I won't go back,
defeat myself in this anger,
I found my welfare immediately in danger.

I won't lose my sobriety for anything you do,
you just keep doing you!
I'll forgive your simple mindedness,
for God I'll pray for you!
