She Loved Another

She Loved Another

The sunlight kissed her skin and the full moon, captured her eyes. For I have never seen such beauty captured like a ship in a bottle. I've felt the feeling of regret, of telling you how much I loved you. I watched you walk to another and hand over your heart. You were the muse to my art. I could dance all night to the sound of your heart, there's no light that can shine brighter than you. I've complimented a million times, though she never figured out the signs. She came to me when there was no other, she came to me more than her own brother. I never left her side, even when our friendship died. There's a feeling of sadness that drags you down, the feeling of swimming with cinderblocks tied to your ankles. I watched from afar I watched you change, to you I never seemed so strange. I loved you, and you loved me. At the moment that's all I could see but as the sunsets and the moon is new I shall let you go. Freeing you is the last thing I can do.
