I can feel your heart, as it pounds in the nights darkness, full of silence

My hands sweat, my eyes fill up with your image, as I touch your face

Silence breathes, I am holding on, I won't forget your voice, your touch

Though Cancer has the devils horns, your lungs fill up, I am on my knees to pray

My weeping will not keep you, as we are only here for awhile, I know, the quiet

Of my thoughts, brings us back to yesterday, when we first met, we first kissed

We first made love, under the shade tree, by grandpa's lake, so young, so free
