THE SILENCE OF MAY
There`s a silence that envelops May
No other month can show.
It`s the month you left forever
It`s the month I don`t want to know.
There`s a silence that`s deeper than the quiet of the night.
There`s now a silence in my life
A silence that`s not right.
There`s a terrible sense of loss
Now you`ve left me all alone.
There`s a deepness in my despair
And a stillness in my heart
That I didn`t want to own.
There`s a greyness in the colours of my lonely world.
In the gently changing leaves.
All the tree`s still stand tall and majestic
But they`re not swaying!
There`s no breeze!
There`s silence in the garden
There`s stillness over all.
For me there`s only waiting
As the years silently pass me by
I swear they`ve begun to crawl!
There`s only one unique thing for me
It`s the beauty of your soul.
That not even God could re-create
You are my treasure
My one and all.
