SIMONE BILES

For her growing up certainly wasn't fair
Times she went hungry and lived in foster care
Her father left the family when she was young
Drinking alcohol loosened her mother's tongue

The brother she knew was on the police files
An extraordinary childhood for Simone Biles
Needed something to escape realities of life
To free her mind from all this trouble and strife

Gymnastics was that saviour she did crave
For Simone was both strong and brave
A remarkable true story of this fine athlete
Wishing one day our paths will duly meet
