Simple thing

I found you and you just grinned  at me as if to say you can’t escape that night this easily 
When I found you the tears ran like a river but you just stared at me as if to say you weak bastard 

I thought I’d gotten rid of you turns out I hadn’t and that you where just waiting for your moment to flip my mood 
I thought that the day I saw you again I’d be ok turns out the opposite was true 

You might just be a black secquinny thing and yet you’ve had the ability to completely shift my mind 
You are just a simple thing yet you have caused more trouble than you’ll ever know
