Simply Simple

Straight from the heart, no fancy words

Don't know any anyway

Simply simple that's how I write poetry

Can't write it any other way

I deeply admire those poets among us

Using creative and flowing verse

Talents that far exceed my humble efforts

With me, humour comes first

Oh I sometimes write about love and stuff

It pales beside others I read

Just to write down those flowery sweet lines

But the sillies seem to intercede

Oh well I've come to accept who I am

What ya see is what ya get

Simply simple that's how I write poetry
