Sinister Sister: I Ain't Gettin' Nun

At Catholic school I met a ghoul I thought taught right from wrong.
Oh, what a jewel and I, a fool, fell for her sinful song.
I sure miss herβmy sinister sister, whose ear-splitting screams
got in my head, while I, with dread, allowed her in my dreams.
Β
Her lilting voice and teaching choice seemed quite appropriate
for English Lit, or Shakespeareβs witβoh yeah, she sure was great.
Out of my leagueβI'm so intriguedβto love her would be fun.
But I, alas, will get no ass 'cause she ain't giving nun.

Brilliant, I love this, " get no ass" funny.
I rarely write comedic poetry, Gerard so I'm really glad (and a bit relieved, lol) that you enjoyed this.
Take care, my friend, and thanks again.

Cheers, Dean;
you had me in stitches all the way through and then at the end we you use the word nun finally made me lose control of my laughter.
-Excellent internal and external rhyming makes the reading like riding a roller coaster words which is an extreme amount of fun.
-Good syllogistic reasoning to finalize your ending summation which was so funny.
-Take care and have a good one my friend and as always especially with those that love you dearly.

This was so interesting and I love the way it was written. The rhyming added further enjoyment and I loved the humour at the end. One of my favourites!Β
Thank you, Rachel. What a nice thing to say!
I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment on my crrrrrrazy work, heh-heh.

Heh-heh, that was the point, Lucy, and I'm glad the poem was able to do for you what I'd intended it to do by those who cared enough to read it.
God knows we get so few chances to laugh these days, it seems.
Thanks so much for reading and commenting. I deeply appreciate it.
Horror Hugs!
