Sister not from my mother's womb

I thought fondly of you today
Of all the things you'd do and say
I know we haven't talked for a while
But our friendship never went out of style
My heart kadooped
And through my mind
Our memories trooped
And then silence…
Reality struck
It hit me like an army truck
We are strangers now
And I ask the elusive air
How?
But nothing would give me an ear
I feel the indifference in the atmosphere
You let her go
You let it slip
The pain of my mistake
Cracked across my heart like a whip
The bitter tears of my choice was mine to sip
I recall the way I lashed out at you
I defied the promise I made to you
My harsh words
Sting my conscious
Like vengeful wasps
Then my resolve to call you warps
I've wept so much
I feel like an extenguinated corpse
My emotions wrestling me like a torque
I miss you friend…
I miss you so
And this is something you need to know
My never ending wonder
Would you reject me like the thunder
Or will we reconnect?
Will we try to jointly reflect?
Of the moments amazingly spent
With my friend, heaven sent
Oh if we could let our dormant friendship bloom
My sister not from my mother's womb

Thank you Cherie your feedback is always sincere and supportive, it's a joy to share this poetic world with you. Have much love for you. About the poem ay she was/is a true friend, close relationship indeed and I missed her so much I actually summoned enough courage to leave her her long message yesterday after 2 long years. Thankfully she called me this afternoon and I burst out crying so I have to say this peice came deep from a very hurtful place of regrets in my heart. I hope people don't experience that forlorn feeling of a lost friendship.

this is terrific Eden, organic and sincere, you rhyme with intelligence and purpose, the whole concept and construction of the poem are so incredibly relatable, hope you re-connect with your friend, top of the food-chain poetry, my friend... cheers
