SIT WITH THE RIVER

SIT WITH THE RIVER

My thoughts blow in the wind
My spirit wants to fly
To rise above my circumstance
And not question; Why?
To breathe in the beauty
Of all that I see
And on wings of contentment
Learn to be free
To feel the fluid movement
Of the current, unwind
Let it wash over
Smooth the wrinkles of my mind
I may not have wings
But I've learned to fly
To live in the moment
And not question; Why?
I come to sit with the river
And quiet my soul
Feel the peace of the ripples
As they ease and console
My thoughts blow in the wind
My spirit wants to fly
I come to sit with the river
And watch worries pass by
