Six Reasons

I tend to weep more nowadays
Largely for reasons sentimental
Or because I am now denied
A true warriors pride
My sword traduced to pencil.
Or perhaps for friends misplaced or lost,
Harsh words voiced or soft unspoken,
The beauty of the songs we sing,
Ah, to see everything about a thing
Before we see it broken
