Skeleton Key

Skeleton Key

What door should you open? or should you dare?

There lies a spirit of evil beyond this lock, and you hold the key

A wicked woman, a wretched house, the dusk howls, the cries of the dark

The men and women punished, hung high in the trees, even children they scare

The witch craft of demons, the song on the recorder, the chanting for life

Is all that they know, the echoes through the night the bathing of the damned

The crippled from the shock of a stroke, he knows too much, but the woman

Who is the darkest she holds the key the tightest, and the keeper of the house

The souls of the southern, they were slaves and servants of this mansion

The horrible truth is yet to be discovered by the caregiver hired, she will find the key

To hell and then back, as she discovered the black magic power to rid this evil

The skeleton key will lead the way to the promised land at last, there will be peace from the devil
