SKYLESS

SKYLESS

The sun is eclipsed
by a moon in the way
the comfort of love has been hidden away

Still as the night
I will silently wait
for the brightness of day to come back into play

Many hours have passed
yet a motionless moon
insists on keeping life’s’ light in its womb

An eternal darkness
delivers no pain
for the spark in my heart only knows what to gain

When the moon then seeks refuge
from the birth of its hate
I will still be here...smiling, awaiting her fate
