Sleeping Beauty

Nothing’s as quiet as the room where she lays,
They say ā€˜shock, horror’ but to me it’s no surprise,
I stand over her for what feels like days,
And watch sleeping beauty rest her sweet eyes,
Eyeing the cross on her wrist where blades dug deep,
I remember when it all first started,
She was low, tired and lacking in sleep,
Its hard to believe we’ve already parted,
But where is she now? Finally moving on?
She always was one step ahead of me,
But with all her speed now she’s gone,
Left me alone, depressed but she can’t see,
I’m so lost without her, I need her in my life,
So I go home; cry; pick up my own knife.
