Sleeping With You

Sleeping With You

The great lovers of the past didn't last,
Cassanova, Romeo and Juliet, Valentino passed;
I'm still here, show me just how good you are,
'surely,' that's what I say if you want to be my friend.

Think back: how many times, how many crimes;
my friend Picasso painted love on his canvas,
every shape, position, that you could wish for,
cubism became existentialism, every spasm.

He told me: 'Mould your strokes, play possum,
come alive again, re - invent, another picture under,
if you don't like something - change it, show guts,
Leo carried her under his arm for ten years, smiling.

We use acryllic, nothing is idyllic, no matter,
I'm still here, nothing has changed, we are as one.
