Just Slip It In

Just Slip It In

She Told me
Just
Slip ItĀ
In
At first
with anticipation
I triedĀ
toĀ
simply
follow
her
directions

It was late
though
and kinda
of
Dark
soĀ
putting
it
inĀ
the
intended
target
was
not
asĀ
easy
as
itĀ
looked.

I thenĀ
tried
to jam
it in
but she
just
seemed
to gag
at that
alternative
So I finally
gave
her a tasty
brownie
which
she ate
and
told
her

mission
accomplished!

She inquired

What do you mean?
what
did you do?

I responded
by explaining
that the pill
she wanted
me to push
down her
throat
(My wife Ā has a problem in swallowing pills)
was placedĀ
in the treat
therefore
the medicine
was administered.........................................
