Slippery Slope Part 2
A Countless Rant
Splash
In a dash.
Catch these thoughts
- In a flash.
Gone, lost, done.
No more life, nor sun.
No more treasure in the sand.
Forgetting me, for who I am.
Saying words that don`t make sense.
Pushing lines through my head.
A painful sense of dread.
Making me feel awfully spent.
Slave of the page
And I keep writing
Rattling the cage.
No one hears me typing.
But alas.
No pain β a stance.
Fixation of the mind.
Such a lie.
Such a time.
To be alive.
But withstand.
No pain β no gain.
No frivolous anger.
Just understand.
That help.
Is what I`m after.
Slipping into the Darkness.
The Fish of the Sea.

Hi Fish,
I haven't listened to the music because the wife is asleep on the couch and it's 1:30am.
I do however like the writing though...
Great lines. It kind of reminds me of something I wrote years ago, about being a slave to society...but that's a different story.
Take careΒ - SydΒ
Aww thanks so much, Syd, I feel honoured of how you quoted my work, also its fine, I add music sometimes to make a connection between my poem and a theme it doesn't really add much and most of the time is not of the tastebuds of the Cosmos lol. But again thank you for your kind comment. All the Best and kind regards. The Fish of the Sea.
You'd be surprised about the weird shit I listen to. It's not to most people tastes but I add it in there because it's me.
I'll have a listen at a more appropriate hour.

Ha! If we weren't unique the world would be a dull place. You're more than welcome to listen when you can, an interesting time of day to be commenting on poetry ;). Thanks again for your comment. The Fish of the Sea.
I'm a shift worker and naturally nocturnal. Early shift takes years off my life...I hate it with a passion.
I'll definitely listen if I rememberΒ - SydΒ
Wow, that's rough, but ironically does allow us to have a conversation, midday in Aus. Good things out of bad. Maybe it's just my optimism...lol. Sorry to hear that, perhaps you get relief out of poetry? All the best and kind regards. The Fish of the Sea.
Wow FISH!!.....you DO have a great sense of the "Power of Words"!!...it is MOST evident here.......You have a NERUDA sense of how you put words and stanzas together.......keep 'em comin'~~~~~ I think you may be a writer's writer!!........ALL STARS!!......well done!!.......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xoΒ : )
Aww thanks so much for your kind comment Tony, I really love how your personalise your comments, it really means so much that you reply in this way and to compare my work to a famous poet as well. I can`t stress how much it`s appreciated. All the Best and kind regards. The Fish of the Sea.
