Poem -

The smell of blood

Ever since I was a kid,

I've felt the presence of death,

Over my shoulder,

A little to the left,

As a kid I didn't know my father dealt meth,

Behind my back,

A little to the left,

Our house was disguised as a home,

A couple married,

heart on a stone,

But their deeds remained intact,

Out by the swings,

A little to the left,

So naive I closed my eyes and slept,

not knowing,

the cause of my horrible disease,

lay a little to the left,

you see,

Methamphetamine's,

Do a toll on a childs bairn you see,

leaving him,

A little to the left.
