Smoke and Mirror

Smoke and Mirror

Misguided view of who you see
My mirror holds rusty key
Portrait of who I display
You don’t want to see anyway

Place happy Cheshire grin
Β Wonder what’s under my skin?
Distortion with my reflection
Who dares to see my defection?

My inner-self pounding on glass
Help me, help me pass
Happiness is only smoke and mirror
How does one make it any clearer?

True, difficult to see myself sometimes as well. A great write, Lisa.
