Snowflakes and Kisses

Snowflakes and Kisses

The train is decorated in a holiday style with bright lights a glisten while the train whistle blows

Its that time of year for family gatherings, Thanksgiving, then Christmas, as we scurry to the depot

To see the events the Railroad Museum, and the old brick road down seminary street, I can hear Santa's voice in the distance.

Street lights all aglow and then snowflakes are falling on my face like tiny wet kisses

I have a train ticket ready for my trip to the bigger city where I will shop at Macey's

And get my favorite chocolate candys, Frango's of course, with the streets filled with

German ornaments and gifts they will wrap, the hot cocoa served in german steins, reminds

Me of the olden times, people passing singing Christmas carols, its a marvel of entities

So defined, and jingle bells are ringing, the harmony of shoppers are filling their bags

Next we will all gather around in a holiday mood at our favorite restaurant, The Lux

With so many things to see, the inside arena of skateland at Navy Pier, and the tux

The men will wear as they greet our tables at the Opera House with a special menu

Everyone enjoys the holiday spirit, and the festive erray of a day or two on the train

To my favorite city, Chicago with all of its bus loads of fun and the Union Station

Filled with all kinds of people, mostly happy and giddy, for the snowflakes and kisses

Are touching their faces and filling their hearts with the romance of the season

A beautiful and glorious festivity of the year and years to come while I get my next ticket

To the railroad station in Galesburg, Illinois with snowflakes and kisses who would want

to miss it!!!

Snow flakes are a lot kisses. If only there would be more frequent flurries.
