Snowy Owl

Snowy Owl

The spring trickles in the woods, it lifts the earthly spirit with shine

From the tops of the pines, to the depths of the canyons, I hear the echoe

Of the summer moving in like thunder, it rocks and it fills up the sky

As it is here only so long, it will expire, and then the autumn leaves of golden

Sheen, fall upon the earth, and we can hear the snowy owl in the far fences

Of a soon to be covered white barn, and the bridge to the other side lays peaceful

In the winds of the snowflakes, my breath on the horse, as I carry my trophies

Of meat and hide, the hunt for the winter ride, has been long, but I have faith

And I have been followed by my spirited friends, the snowy owl has my back

Where I go, I know that the time will someday end and I will spread my wings

And fly in the shadows of my native mind, with my friends following my path
