So Wait Slavery Was a Choice

So Wait Slavery Was a Choice

So wait, let me get this right now
slavery was a choice.

So my ancestors didn't get brought
over here against theirs wills.

So my ancestors wasn't chained
and bound to a ship

So my ancestors wasn't brought
and sold like cattle.

Let me get this right now
slavery was a choice

So wait, my ancestors didn't
get beaten and murdered for
trying to escape.

And my female ancestors wasn't
raped and my male ancestors
didn't get beaten if they even
looked at a white woman.

Let me get this right now
slavery was a choice.

Slavery was never a choice,
but it was something horrible
that happened to my and your
ancestors.

So please don't say that slavery
was a choice.
