socks

socks

Where do you go

you escape everytime

you're not in the basket

and not on the line

Ive looked in the washer

and under the beds

I surely should see you

you're the brightest of reds

You always go missing

every washday I stress

im getting fed up now

Sock- don't be a pest

Where do you go to

it's the same every week

Upstairs and downstairs

its a red sock I seek

you're driving me mad now,

like I'm going insane

Theres nobody else here

so no one to blame

I'll find you eventually

as I always do

so next week I'll hunt

for another sock or two

I love this Julie, I guess this is my favourite type of poetry as it is the type I prefer to write.

A lovely example of rhyme and humour.
