SOUL REST ON RIVERS BED
There's a bed in the river
yet we cannot sleep
A bank but nowhere to save
waves break on solid shore but remain intact
the gentle wet skin
below turmoil is Queen or king
abstract caution kissing, fleeing that wild thing
sparkling rivers tattoo there birth
onto vacant planet earth
Human snake
fed in dark slick
trickles into Golden beasts
feasting licking streams
its treble xxx show
skinless rhyme
trembling creatures creeping
avoiding the electric seating
spilling into veins and pumping narcotic drains
stumbling against so many views
this drunken mirror
infested by me and you
reflections spread from ripples edge
doomed reduced oil pipe fed
created causes
empathy avoided
garage doors sold instead
fortune won
fame and earth
shared on alters search
sleep
will last when I can rest
THERE IS NO BED
