SOULFULLY YOURS, NIKKI ANNE WRITES, MY HEART RAN AWAY WITH ME

My heart

ran away with me

Somehow I have to reel

it back in-

make aboat

of emotions running wild,

Sail it on a sea of tears

back to my center-

take refuge in the eye

of the storm surrounding me,

gauge what's real

and what isn't,

strengthen my muscles

in preparation

for a journey

beyond the storm

I face
