Sparkling Spring

Sparkling Spring

There was no sun in heaven, it was all inside,
light must have come from somewhere before it died,
maybe from illuminated souls that lit up space,
strange thing was, not all were from the human race.

A spring trickled across a divide, rather smiling,
at this astonishing revelation, got all really thinking;
heaven didn't just hover above planet Earth but far away,
in a different galaxy, where all of creation made in one day.

We were not alone, ET also needed a heaven of his own,
when he passed away, he looked up and gave a soft moan,
'Home,' was his last word, ready to mix, other lifestyles,
no one knew, that we'd all come together across the miles.

God surveyed the scene, bodies were gone, only ghosts so long,
next time I'll make them all the same, so nothing can go wrong.
